Paper Paper Now Open in Old Town La Quinta

Stationery & Gift Store Complements Unique Merchant Mix of Old Town La Quinta

(La Quinta, CA) Old Town La Quinta welcomes a new retail tenant - Paper Paper, a stationery and gift shop - which is now open for business.

"What makes Old Town successful is the one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants we've been able to attract,' said Leslie Locken, property manager of Old Town La Quinta. "Our retailers work hard to find merchandise that really stands out - things you won't find everywhere."

Paper Paper is a dream realized for two long-time friends, Karen Steinhart and Linda Wright, who've always talked about opening a store together. They recently packed up their lives in Scottsdale, relocated to La Quinta, and have now opened a shop that shares some of their favorite things with customers looking for something different.

"We've been vacationing with girlfriends in La Quinta for years, and last year when we were here, we saw in the news that Old Town was seeking specific merchants - and a card store was one of them," said Wright. "So we went back to Arizona and decided to go for it. We never looked at space anywhere but Old Town."

Paper Paper features fine stationery, invitations, greeting cards, wrapping paper, ribbons and unique gifts. In-house custom design and printing is available for wedding and social invitations, party menus and announcements.

"We're also carrying personalized La Quinta items, such as tote bags, note pads, water bottles, mugs and other souvenir items," added Steinhart. "Plus, we have some really unique gifts, such as stand-up napkins, handmade photo albums, a relish fork 'with attitude' and holiday dog collars."

Paper Paper will host a Grand Opening ribbon cutting and open house on September 17 at
