Mixed media artist, Robert Weil, was inspired by L.A.’s beach scene—in this case, Manhattan Beach Pier.In his humorous and whimsical style, Weil created a typical day at the beach, bright with sunshine and a cast of interesting characters.
Created on a 30 x 80-inch aluminum sheet, Weil created a textured surface using long broom strokes on wet paste. He worked with enamel, pastel, charcoal and his signature, imaginative style to bring this piece to life.
See Robert Weil’s new collection at Art on Main Street’s Old Town Gallery and meet Robert weekly on Friday’s and most Saturday afternoons. Enjoy a wide selection of originals and prints. Before living in La Quinta, Weil had a gallery and studio in L.A.His work is featured in many celebrity collections and he has shown widely in juried shows in California in addition to Art on Main Street.
