Artists Barry and Rosalind Hage have been creating unique and inspiring pottery for decades. Barry Hage is a master potter of 50 years.
Their process includes low fire or high fire clay and the spontaneous art of raku firings. Most pieces combine wheel throwing and hand-building. The rich but muted, metallic luster of 24 karat gold or platinum enhances many of their designs. Some sculptures are embedded with cast clay symbolic objects that are hand-carved or collected by the artists.
Barry and Rosalind design and decorate forms on their own, each promising elements of bold color, surprise and joy! Their collection includes various teapots, buddhas, bird feeders, unusual totems, small animals and hearts.
Meet Barry & Rosalind Hage at Art on Main Street on February 9th and 16th.
