Meet Leslee at Art on Main Street – March 17th & April 7th
Leslee Adams’ watercolor painting “Springtime Poppies” captures the essence California’s herald to Spring. These bright orange and yellow poppies adorn Antelope Valley, Deer Valley and many other scenic California sites attracting thousands of visitors annually.
Leslee is known as The Watercolor Chef because in addition to being an award-winning artist, she is also a professional chef by trade with a pastry diploma from the Ritz Escoffier in Paris. After returning to California, Leslee worked as a pastry chef at the Ritz Huntington Hotel. She then returned home to Palm Springs where she felt inspired to add watercolor painting to her culinary skills. Leslee’s paintings are vibrant and dance with color. She was first known for her paintings of food and has since branched out to paint local, desert and European landscapes, still lifes and florals, all with bold, dramatic style. Leslee takes commissions for custom pieces.
Leslee Adams has been a member of the CVWS since 2004 and has received numerous awards. She has also a been a member of the Westlake Village Guild since 2010. Leslee exhibits widely and has shown and sold her work at Art on Main Street, La Quinta Arts Festival, Southwest Arts Festival, Rancho Mirage Arts Festival, San Diego Art Walk, Palo Alto Fine Arts and Sonoma and Los Altos festivals among others.
