Celebrate Women’s History Month at Old Town La Quinta’s Female-Owned Businesses
March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history. What better way to do so than by supporting female-owned businesses in your community?
In Old Town La Quinta, we have our very own female-owned business success stories, two of our beloved and fan-favorite boutiques are proudly female operated.
Mary Fran and Marci, who are friends from out of State, relocated to La Quinta for diverse job opportunities. Being fashion enthusiasts with exceptional customer service skills, they collaborated to establish Alexandrite – a fashion outlet that offers premium quality men’s and women’s fitness apparel and accessories.
They selected Old Town La Quinta as the permanent location for Alexandrite, considering it an excellent destination for families and friends to shop, hang out, and dine due to its unique shops and restaurants.
Having success in other locations, and looking to expand, Cherry Owner of Roam-e Boutique saw how special Old Town La Quinta is because it has its own vibe & character that is different than Palm Springs. She says, “We’re like a hidden gem that no one knows of but when they come, they are pleasantly surprised. We also have such a friendly, welcoming community, something you don’t get in other cities.”
No matter what type of business you’re looking to support, Old Town La Quinta has something for everyone. By visiting female-owned businesses during Women’s History Month and beyond, you can help to support and empower women in your community. So gather your friends and family and spend a day exploring all that Old Town La Quinta has to offer.
