Meet Felicia at Art on Main Street – Saturday, January 20th
Art on Main Street
Saturday, January 20th from 10am to 4 pm
FEATURED ARTIST: FELICIA
Nationally acclaimed and award-winning sculptress, Felicia, is known for her miniature to monumental bronze statues. She installed a life-size fountain with representations of Cahuilla Indians for the City of La Quinta. Felicia says, “I work with oil-based clay and live models to capture a strong likeness of my subjects along with my own creative vision of the simplicity and elegance of the female figure. When finishing each piece, I add stones, highly polished lines, a dazzle of turquoise, and my signature accent—painted beads, along with different acid washes known as patinas.
Most of my bronzes depict Native American females expressed in sensuous curves with tension of emotion and minimal forms reflecting the spirit and richness of the mystical Southwest. I portray Native Americans because they are the original inhabitants of our continent and should not be forgotten.”
Felicia’s work is in prestigious galleries across the U.S. and in private and corporate collections worldwide. Meet her and see her beautiful sculptures at Art on Main Street!
